Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Make A Payment?

Payments can be made in several ways.  Contact us and we can set you up with online invoices.  You can call us at 320-632-8234 to process a credit card over the phone.  Payments can be made by mailing a check to 1216 Parkview Drive Little Falls, MN  56345.  We also have a drop box at our Truck Garage at 1009 Lindbergh Drive NW Little Falls.

How long can I keep a roll-off dumpster?

This depends on the time of year.  Spring, Summer and early Fall – typically 5 days.  Longer than that and we may need to charge rent on the box.  During the winter months, you can typically have the box at your location longer.

Do I need to be there for a roll-off container delivery?

Not necessarily.  If you have special requests for the box placement, please contact us so our driver can make sure to put the box in your desired location.

I have a large project and need a roll off all summer. Is that OK?

Just give us a call at 320-632-8234.  We’ll work with you on your project to make sure you have the right box for as long as you need it!

Will a dumpster damage my driveway?

Roll off dumpsters are large and can become quite heavy when full.  The truck that drops off/picks up the container is also quite large to accommodate the load.  We do our best to place the box where the least amount of damage can occur.  If you have a concrete driveway, we will put blocks under the box.  If your box needs to go in your yard, it is possible that some damage could occur.  If you are concerned, please let us know and we will assess your specific location.

What is acceptable / not acceptable to place in my trash?

Residential Garbage: Please place all trash into bags, tie shut then place in the garbage cart.  This is for several reasons.  It will help keep your can cleaner, and it will prevent spillage when the cart is dumped into the truck.

Roll off containers:  Do not overload the container.  Debris can be as high as the side with out sticking out.  This is to prevent spillage when the box is picked up as well as to prevent debris from falling out of the truck on the road.

Demo Container:  Demolition material is handled differently than trash at our landfill. Demo material consists of construction debris, no garbage, appliances, carpet.

Garbage Container:  No hazardous waste, appliances, televisions, computers or computer monitors, mattresses, tires.

What do I do with appliances?

Appliances can be brought to our Truck garage and dropped into the rolloff box.  Please be considerate and move the appliance to the back of the box, or stack them if possible.

Do you accept Aluminum cans?

Yes!  Our Aluminum can recycling is currently available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  Need to know the current price?  Please call Matt at 320-360-9877

How do I schedule a pickup?

You can use the Contact us Tab above, or call the office at 320-632-8234

What Holidays do you observe?

We observe the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • 4th of July
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas

We will typically pickup on the day AFTER the holiday.  Not sure what to do?  Put your cart out on the normal pickup day and leave it there until it’s been picked up.

What is acceptable/not acceptable for curbside recycling?

Recycling must be set out by 6 a.m. on your scheduled pick up day (see schedules for a current calendar).  Your green “City of Little Falls” bin must be placed in the same location that you place your city garbage bin.  Most residents have pick up on the street.

Plastics, tin, and aluminum can be placed together in one bin.  Plastics #1, #2 and #5 are accepted for recycling.  All items must be clean.

Plastic bags are not accepted through this program.  They can typically be dropped off at stores such as Walmart or Coborn’s.

All newspapers, magazines, junk mail, etc. may be mixed together and placed in a separate bin or put in a paper bag.

Shredded paper must be placed into a paper bag, stapled or taped shut and clearly marked “shredded paper”.

All cardboard, paperboard (cereal boxes, etc.) should be flattened and bound together using twine or duct tape and can be no larger than 24″ x 24″ x 12″.  Cardboard could instead be broken down and placed inside a cereal box, etc.

What can I do with glass?

Since January 1, 2020, glass is no longer accepted with the City of Little Falls curbside recycling program.  The Little Falls City Council made this change as a way to keep recycling costs from increasing.

Currently, the Morrison County Solid Waste Facility (Landfill) accepts glass for recycling.  It must be sorted by color and dropped off during their normal business hours.
